It’s a bittersweet truth that some of our hardest struggles fuel our greatest transformations. I remember feeling utterly lost—drowning in expectations, battling fatigue, and grappling with an overwhelming sense of isolation. That’s where my conversation with Dr. Natasha Wallace began—one fueled by her journey from burnout to building a supportive community of working moms.

Natasha shared how her turmoil as a clinical psychologist led her to question everything. After years in the NHS, she found herself pushing through burnout, blindly following the expectation of what success should look like. But the day she stepped back was a game-changer, paving the way for her to rediscover her passion for helping others. I remember her saying, "I was running a one-on-one treadmill," and that really struck a chord with me. When you’re on that treadmill, it’s hard to see the exit.

Transitioning to online community support was no easy feat for Natasha. It took time, love, and a willingness to embrace vulnerability. She created a membership not just as a business model but to fill a gaping void for mothers lost in a crowded space without adequate support. I could hear the passion in her voice, as she spoke about the relief of connecting with women who understand your struggles, who speak your language. That’s when it all clicked for her: being seen and heard was invaluable.

We delved deep into the myths of balance—how the idea of achieving a perfect equilibrium can often lead to burnout rather than relief. Natasha transformed my understanding by emphasizing that balance can shift and change with the seasons of our lives. Whether you’re a working mom, an entrepreneur, or someone trying to juggle life, this shift in perspective is essential.

You know those nagging voices of guilt that whisper you should be doing more—whether that’s for your kids, your business, or your home? Natasha and I unpacked those layers and explored how to set boundaries around work and family life. Her honesty about her own battles resonated so profoundly with me. It’s a shared experience.

And we can't forget the importance of mental health—Natasha shared her insights on navigating life’s ups and downs, particularly postnatal challenges. Her wisdom on creating safety in our nervous systems is a gem, especially in a world that often feels chaotic. Her tips on regulating our responses to stress? Absolute gold.

What I cherish most about my conversation with Natasha is her commitment to normalizing these struggles. It's vital to hear that we’re not alone—that there’s power in vulnerability. And as we dream about the future, Natasha’s vision of empowering hundreds of women to prioritize themselves truly inspires me.

So here’s to embracing the messy middle—let’s shift our focus to create space for what truly matters: connection, understanding, and showing up for ourselves and each other. Thank you, Natasha, for your transparency and authenticity. Together, we’re creating a ripple effect of change that can transform lives—one conversation at a time.
