ABOUT TRACY
I was living in Thailand as a Peace Corps volunteer in 2003-2004, and everyone I worked with had a nickname. My name was difficult for them to pronounce and they wanted to give me a nickname. They talked about how much I was “growing and blossoming” and after reviewing my eastern horoscope, linked to a Chinese horoscope, and then speaking with Buddhist monks for an “auspicious” name I was given the name Bua, which means Lotus Flower in the Thai language. I liked my nickname and loved the meaning they ascribed to it of growth and blossoming through change and decided to integrate it into a business somehow. Lotus created a good acronym that illustrates my beliefs and business approach:
L: Leverage
O: Opportunities
T: Through
U: Unique
S: Solutions
Leveraging opportunities is one key aspect of my business approach, but the leveraging must be approached from unique perspectives to achieve a lasting, desired solution. It’s like two sides of trying to get where you want to go.
Learning Collaborative came from my experience in work environments and school where everything was a learning experience and you had to work together/collaborate to make progress. My approach is that continuous learning and working together/collaborating to achieve success.
